international speaker, educator, advocate, and pants pooper.

I pooped my pants. It was out of my control. It wasn't my fault. So, why was I so embarrassed and ashamed?" In her talk, Karli Johnson uses humor to explain ...

In her 2016 TEDx TALK, “I Pooped My Pants,” Karli compares pooping her pants to being a victim of violence. She was horrified, humiliated, and never told anyone. It was out of her control. It wasn’t her fault. It happens to a lot of people, so why are we so embarrassed?

This humorous approach makes it easy to relate to victims by getting the discussion going on victim-blaming. Karli aims to educate her audiences on the importance of believing victims and not defining them by an experience that was out of their control.

This message has been turned into an education program and event keynote speech for audiences of all ages.
